How to convert Markdown to Word

  1. Click Open .md / .txt or drag your Markdown file onto the box — or paste the text.
  2. Check the preview, and set page size, text size and an optional table of contents under Document settings.
  3. Click Download Word (.docx).

Supported Markdown

The converter understands GitHub-flavoured Markdown (GFM): # headings, **bold**, *italic*, ~~strikethrough~~, links, block quotes, ordered and unordered lists (nested), task lists - [x], tables with alignment, inline code and fenced code blocks with a language, and math in $…$ / $$…$$ or \(…\) / \[…\].

What gets converted

Under Document settings you can pick A4 or US Letter, the text size and line spacing, and add a table of contents and page numbers.

Good for

Pandoc without the command line

Pandoc is the classic tool for md to docx, but it needs installing and a terminal. This page does the common cases in your browser with one click, and keeps your files private.
