How to save ChatGPT as a PDF
- In ChatGPT, click the copy icon under the answer (or select the text and copy it).
- Paste it into the box above. The preview shows exactly how the PDF will look.
- Click Save as PDF. In the print window, choose Save as PDF (or Microsoft Print to PDF) as the printer.
Why not print the ChatGPT page directly?
Printing the chat page gives you the sidebar, buttons, your questions and cut-off code blocks. This tool prints only the answer, with clean headings, real tables, numbered lists that continue correctly and code in a monospace font — like a proper document.
Tips for a clean PDF
- Untick Headers and footers in the print window to remove the date and web address.
- Choose a font above — Calibri, Arial, Georgia and Times New Roman are available.
- Need to edit the text first? Download it as a Word document instead.
