How to convert CSV to JSON
- Open a .csv file, paste rows from Excel or Google Sheets, or paste JSON.
- The converted result appears on the right straight away.
- Download it or copy it to your clipboard.
Handles messy CSV
- Comma, semicolon (European Excel), tab and pipe delimiters are detected automatically.
- Quoted fields with commas, quotes and line breaks are parsed correctly.
- Numbers,
true/falseand empty cells become real JSON types (turn off Detect numbers to keep everything as text — useful for ZIP codes and IDs with leading zeros).
JSON to CSV
Paste an array of objects and get a CSV with one column per key. Nested objects are written as JSON text, and a
wrapper like { "items": [...] } is unwrapped automatically. Choose Semicolon if your Excel uses commas
as decimal separator.
Frequently asked questions
Is my data uploaded?
No. Everything is converted in your browser, which makes it safe for customer lists and other private data.
Why do leading zeros disappear?
Values like 007 are detected as numbers. Untick “Detect numbers” to keep all values as text.
How big can the file be?
Up to 20 MB, which is hundreds of thousands of rows.
