PDF to PNG or PDF to JPG?
- PNG is lossless: letters, lines and diagrams stay razor sharp, with no blurry halos around text. Best for documents, slides, charts, forms and anything you will put in a presentation.
- JPG is much smaller and fine for pages that are mostly photos. Use PDF to JPG for those.
Which resolution should I choose?
- 72 dpi — a page about 600 pixels wide; thumbnails and quick previews.
- 150 dpi — about 1240 pixels wide for A4; good for screens, slides and websites.
- 300 dpi — about 2480 pixels wide; print quality and zooming into small text. Files get large.

Can I get a transparent background?
No. PDF pages are rendered on white, as they look when printed.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password first, then convert.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Everything is rendered on your own device.
