How to cut an MP3
- Drop the .mp3 into the box; the waveform appears.
- Move the start and end handles to the part you want. The loud parts of a song are easy to spot on the waveform.
- Press ▶ Play selection, fine-tune, and click ✂ Cut audio.
- Download your new MP3.
Tips for clean cuts
- Cut in silence where you can — the flat parts of the waveform — so words and notes aren't chopped off.
- Type times like
1:23.4for exact cuts, or use Use current time while listening. - Add a 1–2 second fade-out when you cut music mid-song.
- Keep the quality at 192 kbps or more for music; 128 kbps is plenty for speech.
MP3 as ringtone?
Android phones use MP3 ringtones directly — cut the part you like and copy it to your phone. For an iPhone you need an .m4r file; the Ringtone Maker makes one and explains how to install it.
Other audio tools: cut WAV, M4A or FLAC, WAV to MP3, MP4 to MP3.
Private by design
Your audio is decoded, cut and encoded in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — recordings, interviews and voice memos stay on your device.
